Research Fellow
J.D. Candidate, 2021

Rebecca is a settler living on unceded Algonquin territory, where she is pursuing a Juris Doctorate at the University of Ottawa. Her experience as an environmental field researcher has taken her to Nunavut, Peru, and Panama, where she was grateful to have learned directly from the Inuit, the Yagua people, and various Afro-Panamanian communities about issues at the cross-section of colonialism and environmental degradation. She now turns her attention towards learning about Indigenous laws and legal traditions in hopes of building solutions and making reparations, including through her work for the ABS Canada project, amongst others.
