Akkila Thirukesan is a Research Assistant with ABS Canada. She is a Juris Doctorate candidate with the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and a Master’s candidate with the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2017 at Carleton University, double majoring in Human Rights and Law with a concentration in Law, Policy and Government. Akkila has extensive experience working for the federal government in Aboriginal Law and reconciliation. Her interests lie in the interplay between international law and domestic law and aspires to pursue a career in international law.
